We’re A Bit Obsessed With Making You Transfer Ready.
For These Majors, Planning Really Matters.

Some FIU majors are designated Limited Access, which means they have a limited number of “seats” and/or more competitive admission requirements, such as a higher cumulative GPA than FIUs 2.0 general transfer GPA, an entrance exam, audition, portfolio, or separate application (in addition to FIUs admission application). Knowing exactly what’s required to be considered for entry into these majors will help you plan ahead. We suggest you develop an academic plan, a timeline, and meet with your college advisor every term to discuss progress.

Transfer students are expected to have earned an AA degree from a FL public college/university or completed FIUs University Core Curriculum (UCC). All prerequisite courses must also be completed.
Minimum GPA requirements included in the majors below are cumulative, which means that all grades are combined in the calculation. Some majors also require a minimum GPA in prerequisite courses.
